Rides from our Shop

Saturday Morning Ride, Friday Mtn. Bike Ride,Sunday Ride

Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube and energy food as well. Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, times, and any specific requirements.

Saturday Morning Ride

The Saturday Morning Ride leaves Cupertino Bike Shop at 7:30 AM. We ride through "the maze" to Saratoga. Once in Saratoga, there is the one, two and three hill option. First hill is Peach, second is Canon, and continue on to Highway 9, lastly Westridge (off Highway 9, drops us into the back of Los Gatos). These early hills can be avoided, or ridden as a single, double or triple warm up. We take Highway 9 into downtown Los Gatos and then head to the hills via Kennedy Road. Our ride ascends to the top of Kennedy Road where we wait for all riders before our descent to Camden Avenue. From Camden Avenue we weave through a few neighborhoods in San Jose until we're back on Mc Clellan Road in Cupertino. Pace can be moderate to fast, we usually split into two or three once we are off of Kennedy. We try to make sure no one gets lost or rides solo. Ride time is 2 to 2.5 hours.

Mountain Bike Ride

Friday MTB ride from the shop. Depart 9:00 am and return 10:30 am. We
ride from the shop to Fremont Older Open Space, via the RR tracks.
Once in Fremont Older the trails are fire road and single track, for
beginner to intermediate riders. We visit up to three peaks and have
lots of up and down trails. No big drop off or obstacles. There are
horses around and we carry carrots to feed them, if the horse people
approve. We have done this so many times the horses recognize us and
expect their treats. We exit Fremont Older via Regnart Rd, and have
gravity races to the bottom, watch out for Shannon, he is a master of
this event. Come and join us soon.
